Dr. Jasmine Felder, Dr. Jazz, provides both collegiate experiences and workout expertise with the knowledge for prevention and recovery.
She graduated from Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama, where she was a member of the school’s first girls’ basketball championship team during her junior year. The team successfully defended its title the following season. After graduating in 2009, Felder continued her basketball career at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). However, she endured multiple injuries throughout her athletic career, one of which ultimately ended her time as a player. Despite this setback, she remained determined and pursued a career in physical therapy. In 2016, she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Alabama State University.
Since graduating, she has specialized in sports and orthopedic physical therapy while also gaining experience in home health and acute care. She holds certification in Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) and has received training in integrative dry needling.
Dr. Jazz opened Elite Sports & Performance Academy, a cash-based wellness and physical therapy clinic, in July 2022. Her goal now is to help bridge the gap from discharge from formal physical therapy to a full return to play all athletes.
When not treating patients, she dedicates her time to mentoring and educating fellow physical therapists, with a particular focus on Pre-PT college students and incoming first-year physical therapy students.
Outside of the clinic, she is a devoted wife to DJ Felder and a loving mother to three children, Jolie, Jayce, and Jrue.
