Meet Dr. Jasmine Felder PT, DPT, Cert TMD Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Jasmine Felder, Dr. Jazz, provides both collegiate experiences and workout expertise with the knowledge for prevention and recovery.

She graduated from Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama and was a part of the first girl’s basketball championship team in her junior year. That same team went on to repeat the championship that following year. After graduating in 2009, Felder played basketball for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Throughout her sports career, suffered multiple injuries. One of those which was career-ending. As devastating as this was, this further fueled her. She graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Alabama State University in 2016.

Since graduation, she has tailored her practice to sports and orthopedics; however, she does have experience in home health and acute care. She is certified in Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) and has also been trained in integrative dry needling.

Dr. Jazz opened Elite Sports & Performance Academy, a cash-based wellness and physical therapy clinic, in July 2022. Her goal now is to help bridge the gap from discharge from formal physical therapy to a full return to play all athletes.

When she is not actively treating patients, she focuses her attention on mentoring and educating fellow physical therapists in the profession especially Pre-PT college students and pre-first year physical therapy students.

Outside of the clinic, she is the wife of DJ Felder and mother to two beautiful children, Jolie and Jayce.
